JLO teaching before the group hit the river.
We were met with big water at our water site on the Tuckasegee this last weekend.
Folks from all over Western NC, SC, and GA came to swim. practice and discuss Swiftwater Rescue for the weekend in our Level 4 American Canoe Association SWR course.
Instructors Justin Padgett and Jon Lowrance enjoyed sharing skills and river knowledge throughout the weekend to our group of 14 students. Thanks everybody for a great time in preparation to avoid rescue. ”The best rescue is the one that never happens.”
A big fat tip of the “yak” to our new buddy Jim Silavent for being our oldest (most experienced) member of the group that got his “christening” on the Tuck!
